Police Appreciation Rally to take place in Romeo

Organizers claim rally is in response to the constant barrage of hate, negativity and violence against the police.

Local organizers have created an event for Police Appreciation in the form of a rally to take place in downtown Romeo. The rally will start at Croswell Elementary and make its way to the Romeo Village Park. It's not clear if this migration will come in the form of a march or a parade, but this would be the same route taken by the Black Lives Matter group that took to the streets in a peaceful protest in June just one month ago.

Scheduled for July 11, 2020, this family friendly event will have flags, food, drinks, and more. Family Tradition, a Michigan Country Rock Band, will be performing live at the event which starts at 1pm and is set to last until 5pm.

Organizer Marguerite Leonard has created a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to cover the cost of the event as well as to provide fundraising for local police. As of this publication, the page had raised $3,250 of their $5,000 Goal. A link to the GoFundMe page can be found below:
